Abstract

In March 2014 a deflation of 0.18 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 149.20.

Deflation occurs due to a decrease in the price indicated by the decline in the index of foodstuffs at 1.24 percent. While other groups have increased, wherein the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco rose 0.38 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.14 percent; clothing group 0.37 percent; health group 0.39 percent; education, recreation and sport 0.03 percent as well as transport, communication and financial services 0.09 percent.
