The recent change in the status of PBI JKN participants has raised questions among the public, especially for those who rely on routine healthcare services.
Regional Secretary Anang Armunanto stated that the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is currently conducting a ground check or field verification of the socioeconomic data that forms the basis for PBI JKN participation in Grobogan Regency.
This process is part of the update of the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) to ensure that the data in the system more closely reflects real-world conditions.
In distributing social assistance, the government uses welfare groupings called deciles.
The community is divided into ten groups, from decile 1, the lowest welfare group, to decile 10, the most prosperous group.
This determination is calculated through the integration of national data across ministries and agencies, using indicators such as income, housing conditions, asset ownership, employment, and family burden.
Regular assistance programs such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), basic food assistance, and the National Health Insurance (JKN) PBI generally prioritize people in deciles 1 to 4, and under certain circumstances, can reach decile 5 based on assessment results.
Decile positions can change based on DTSEN updates and the dynamics of household economic conditions. Local governments play a role in supporting the data verification and updating process through proposal mechanisms and field checks, so that the conditions of local communities can be accommodated within the national system.
Through this gradual data update, it is hoped that clarity regarding participant status will be further established and access to healthcare services for those in need will be maintained.
