The commemoration of National Awakening Day which took place on May 20 coincided with the founding of the Budi Utomo organization, the first national organization in Indonesia which at that time was still called the Dutch East Indies.
From Budi Utomo, the spirit of organization and awareness to fight for the fate of fellow countrymen spread throughout the country. Until finally giving birth to an important period in the history of our nation.

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the BPS of Grobogan Regency held a Ceremony to Commemorate the 117th National Awakening Day. At this ceremony, an appreciation was also conveyed for the dedication of BPS RI to Budi Santoso who will soon enter Retirement and the handover of the PPPK Decree to Atin Winarsih.
