Central Java Human Development Index Increases by 0.48 Points

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Central Java Province released the Official Statistics News (BRS) on Exports and Imports and the Human Development Index (HDI) of Central Java Province on Friday, November 15, 2024. The release was delivered online by the Head of BPS of Central Java Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih.

The value of Central Java's exports in October 2024 was US$985.09 million or an increase of 10.56% compared to exports in September 2024. The value of Central Java's imports in October 2024 was US$1,196.94 million or a decrease of 1.85% compared to imports in September 2024. The total trade balance value of Central Java in October 2024 experienced a deficit of US$211.85 million triggered by a deficit in the oil and gas sector, while the non-oil and gas sector experienced a surplus.

The Human Development Index (HDI) of Central Java in 2024 reached 73.87. This figure increased by 0.48 points compared to the previous year which was 73.39. During the period 2021-2024, the Human Development Index of Central Java increased by an average of 0.69%. The increase in the Human Development Index occurred in all components, including health quality, education, and adjusted per capita expenditure.
