Happy 96th Youth Pledge Day 2024, "Moving Forward Together with Greater Indonesia".

Reported from the Youth Pledge Museum page, the establishment of Youth Pledge Day was motivated by the Second Youth Congress held by the Indonesian Student Association (PPPI). This congress aims to strengthen the sense of unity and nationality of Indonesia that has grown in the minds and hearts of young men and women.

The Second Youth Congress lasted for two days, namely on October 27-28, 1982. The decision of this congress contained the 'Youth Pledge' pledge which was jointly declared by youth figures. This is what makes the term 'Youth Pledge' attached to the decision of the Second Youth Congress.

To commemorate this historic event, October 28 was determined as Youth Pledge Day. This is stated in Presidential Decree Number 316 of 1959 and is not a holiday.
