PES ST2023 aims to measure non-sampling errors caused by field workers and respondents which include coverage errors and content errors. The results of PES ST2023 will provide an overview of the quality of ST2023 data, and will become the basis for planning future census production statistics, especially for the Agricultural Census.

PES ST2023 activities include data collection on samples of Individual Agricultural Business units in various sub-sectors, comparing Individual Agricultural Business results from complete PES ST2023 data collection with ST2023 results in the corresponding areas. Apart from that, PES ST2023 also confirms individual farming businesses whose existence is in doubt through field reconciliation activities.

The number of PES ST2023 samples was 5892 SLS spread over 230 districts/cities that were selected as samples (5111 SLS Concentration and 781 SLS Non-Concentration). The allocation of SLS samples to concentration strata and non-concentration strata is carried out in each selected district/city proportional to the total population of farming families. The business units that will be covered in PES ST2023 are only agricultural businesses carried out by the Individual Agricultural Business Unit (UTP). The mode of data collection throughout SLS PES ST2023 is carried out using the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) mode.
