The Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is an important source of employment data in Indonesia. Data generated from this survey include estimates of the number of working population, the number of unemployed, and other employment indicators.
In August 2020, the questionnaire was refined to adjust the "new normal" conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Changes to the questionnaire include:
1. The concept of employment uses the concept of ICLS-13.
2. Add questions related to the impact of Covid-19 on employment based on ILO recommendations.
3. Simplifying the questionnaire by reducing the number of questions from 65 questions to around 31 questions.
4. Editorial questions are made simple so that they are easily understood by respondents who do the data collection independently.
5. Questions are grouped sequentially based on each topic, namely the topic of work, unemployment, and not the labor force.
In addition to the change in the questionnaire, Sakernas in August 2020 also experienced adjustments in the data collection business process. This adjustment was made according to the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic in the enumeration area
